He smothered her with his kisses. Lin Nuan felt an intense sensation over her body, and her mind went blank again.

She unconsciously pulled her legs together. She knew clearly her body was waiting for it. If Fu Huai’an continued making a move she wouldn’t stop; she’d go down with him instead.

She laid down as he kissed her and wrapped her hands around his neck, returning his kisses—her passion showing her invitation.

Fu Huai’an tried hard to contain himself as his hand muscles contracted and grasped the bed sheets tightly, the veins appearing frightening.

Sweat soaked the both of them after the satisfying yet torturous battle.

Fu Huai’an lay down next to Lin Nuan and put his strong hand on her slim waist. His heavy breathing began to even out.

He barely slept those days and needed proper rest. Lin Nuan could tell from his red eyes.

She didn’t move and let him hold her tight. Her nose gently touched his buttons, and she enjoyed the sight of his warm-toned skin and sexy muscles.

She felt her heart beat a bit faster as she fell under the spell of his intoxicating scent. She couldn’t help but nudge a bit into his embrace.

After a while, Lin Nuan heard the phone ring in her half-asleep state. She got up quietly and pulled over the blankets for Fu Huai’an. After buttoning her bra and pulling her hair up into a ponytail, she left the room.

She answered the call from Liang Mulan. “Mother…”

“Nuan Nuan! Your brother brought your father back!” Liang Mulan couldn’t hide the fact that she was crying. “Your father is back, he said you should come home tonight so we can eat dinner together as a family!” Liang Mulan said, choking.

Lin Nuan wasn’t surprised to hear Lin Jingquan was fine, but to know he came back safely still put her on the edge of tears.

She felt a weight lift from her chest. Then Lin Nuan couldn’t help but feel concerned for the man lying in the bedroom.

“I got it, mother. I’ll go there as soon as possible.”

She couldn’t bring herself to say “back”.

She hung up and decided not to disrupt Fu Huai’an’s sleep.

It was half-past one in the afternoon, and neither eaten lunch.

She wasn’t sure how long he would sleep, so she changed her clothes and went to the supermarket nearby with her umbrella, planning to cook lunch after buying some groceries.

As she left the elevator, through the glass door, Lin Nuan spotted Wen Moshen leaning on his car smoking from afar.

He didn’t use an umbrella in the rain and wore a light blue shirt and tie. His light gray suit made his tall and fit figure stand out, as he commanded an elegant and grounded presence. He appeared to be visibly distraught as he puffed out smoke from his cigarette.

His dark hair had a layer of fog on it, and his suit appeared darker because of the mist.

Lin Nuan guessed that he came because of the Weibo incident.

She hesitated for a moment and walked towards the door.

Wen Moshen gazed towards Lin Nuan through the glass as she walked towards him. He tossed away his cigarette and walked up the stairs.

Lin Nuan opened the door and went outside. She made way for someone trying to rush inside through the rain, and Wen Moshen followed.
